Whenever you have a few moments, this trailer is worth the watch. It is from a film that documents the quest of a simple disciple to find his reincarnated master:

Think next about the significance of the wise men from the East who watched and searched for the child who would be their great teacher. I can't help but wonder if there were similar beliefs at play. At the very least, do you really think that once the wise men from the East identified the Christ child, that they would have been content to simply go back to their homes in the orient and never communicate again with the great Master who they found in the body of the newborn babe in Bethlehem? Hardly.
I'm convinced there are strong, direct spiritual channels between the mortal Christ and the Eastern wisdom traditions. The powerful cultivation of love pursued by the serious Buddhist practitioners is a ray of hope for me in the collective potential to organize socially into higher orders, based upon the foundational principles of true and pure love (i.e., charity, the pure love of Christ). Indeed, there is strong spiritual significance in the metaphor of the light of the sun rising from the east.
